A Bit About Jennifer
Born and raised outside of Washington, D.C., Jennifer found her calling in jewelry design at the young age of 12, making and selling earrings and pins out of painted papier-mâché in a boutique jewelry shop near the Capitol. This childhood pastime quickly grew into a passion as she began taking ordinary, everyday objects like seashells and small stones and converting them into extraordinary jewelry – the beginnings of the distinguishing playful style that can now be found throughout Jennifer’s collection.
Since launching her brand in 2000, Jennifer’s jewelry has appeared prominently on Sex in the City; on the Food Network Unwrapped, and worn by celebrities such as Gwen Stefani, Paris Hilton, and Amy Sedaris; and been featured in several leading consumer and trade publications, including InStyle, Entertainment Weekly, Maxim, NYLON, Accessories, as well as The LA Times and New York Daily News. Her work has also been highlighted in exhibits at the Smithsonian and the Museum of Contemporary Craft.
Jennifer received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design, one of the world’s top universities for art and design, and apprenticed with notable Dutch jeweler Philip Sajet and American jewelry artist Pat Flynn. She was accepted into the prestigious International Jewelry Designers' Guild (IJDG) in 2001.
